Quincy Police Report Two IED’s Detonated In Quincy

(QUINCY)—Quincy Police are investigating two recent detonations of small Improvised Explosive Devices. Police say the first I-E-D was found in the 1700 block of Jackson. Police say it used a CO-2 cartridge and b-b’s wrapped in newspaper and duct tape. The only known damage is to a nearby residence. Police say a device commonly known as a soda bottle bomb detonated just prior to 8:30 Monday evening in the 2000 block of Hampshire. You’re urged to stay away from suspicious objects that have the potential to be a similar device and call 9-1-1.
