No need to get on Hogwarts Express at platform 9 3/4 to go visit Harry Potter. A local school is bringing the Hogwarts magic to Quincy!According to the St. James Lutheran School Facebook page, the school is having an open enrollment to the "St. James School of Enchantment". The School of Enchantment will feature flying lessons (bungee yoga), defense of the dark arts (martial arts/bounce obstacle), and care of magical creatures (owl, snake and tarantula, bearded dragon).

The School of Enchantment opens for aspiring wizards on April 21 from 9:00 am to 12:30 pm. The fee is just $10 per student and everyone in attendance receives a wand along with their class schedule. Butterbeer and snacks will be provided and there will be plenty of photo opportunities.

If you have ever wanted to be a part of Hogwarts and the magical world of Harry Potter, this event sounds absolutely...well...magical! Is it bad that I kind of want to go even as an adult? I am about to start reading the books to my oldest daughter and I can't wait to get lost in the world of wizards and witches again.
