The Less We Talk, The More You Like It And We Don’t Blame You!

I don't like to talk radio jargon here, because frankly you probably don't care nor should you.  You have been kind to allow us to be your new country station for nearly 30 years and we know that's due to the simple fact that you (hopefully) like the songs we play.  And (hopefully), the guy or gal on the radio doesn't tick you off too bad by being stupid.  That reminds me...sorry about my morning show.

Oh...and that reminds me of one of my favorite episodes of one of my favorite TV shows of all time...WKRP in Cincinnati...

What was I talking about? Oh yeah...the reason why people have been kind enough to listen to us for so long.  As much as Dave and I would love to think that you stick around because we're so awesome...(our wives informed us this wasn't the case)...we know that the real reason you listen is the music.  That's why one year ago we made the conscious effort to play more of it.  Lots more of it.

All of us (both of us) have made a vow to only talk when there really is something to say so we can play more music.  And, the way we figured it, we have been able to play one more song every hour simply by not jabbering endlessly about meaningless things.  That may not sound like much, but it adds up to 168 more songs per week and 8760 more songs over the last year.  I am notoriously not good at math, but even I know that's a lot!

I say all this just so I can again say thank you for putting up with us.  You are the reason that KICK-FM is the fastest growing station on-air, on phones (thanks to the RadioPup app) and online.  And, we're committed to keep playing more of why you come to us....the music.
