The Adams County Fair Queens

The 2013 addition of the Adams County Fair has come to an end and the weather was perfect!

While we were there, we struck up a conversation about the Adams County Fair Queens, and how many fair queen pageants there have been.Our friend from the Quincy Herald Whig, Steve Eighinger, listed the recent Miss Adams County Fair Pageant queens. His list goes back to 1995.

The number of contestants was also listed. From 1995 to this year, the 2004 and 2003 pageants had the largest number of contestants. The 2004 pageant had a number of 23 contestants and second highest was back in 2003 with a number of 22. The lowest number in that time span was back in 2008 when the contest had 7 competing for the crown.
