Missouri Highway Patrol troopers say ten people died in traffic crashes around Missouri during the July 4th weekend.

One fatality occurred in Troop B—that was in Mercer County on Saturday. Troopers report working a total of 305 traffic crashes during the counting period between 6 p.m. Thursday and 11:59 Sunday night. Those crashes also resulted in 140 injuries. Troopers report 127 DUI arrests.

The Water Patrol Division reports six boating crashes yielding four injuries and no fatalities on Missouri waterways.

A year ago, troopers reported four drownings during the July 4th holiday weekend.
