Last week, tabloids circulated rumors that Carrie Underwood and Taylor Swift had to be kept separate at the 2013 Grammys because of a feud between the two country superstars. Anonymous "sources" said the two "hate each other" and executives at the awards show had to make sure they didn't cross paths. As you could probably guess, none of it's true, according to Underwood herself.

She set the record straight during an an interview with 'CBS This Morning.' There's no feud, and she doesn't know who started that pesky rumor. "In every magazine, in every pretty much newspaper or gossip TV shows, they can just get away with it by saying 'a source said ...'," Underwood explains. "I read the most ridiculous things about myself when people do that."

When put on the spot, the Grammy winner said that 'I Knew You Were Trouble' was her favorite song of Swift's. "I like the branching out, trying some different sounds," she adds.

It may be true Underwood and Swift are not friends -- as Underwood stated in an interview with Allure magazine -- but "not friends" is a long way away from mortal enemies. The fact is that the pair just don't hang with the same circles, explains.

"We run into each other at events. We’re never in the same place at the same time,” Underwood said (quote via StarCrush.com). The alleged source was rumored to be a friend of Swift's who says the 'Begin Again' singer feels Underwood is rude to her. Swift has yet to comment on the story.
