Illinois Thanksgiving cooks, we need to have a talk. If a newly-released survey is accurate, the favorite Thanksgiving side dish in Illinois is just so weird. There is no other state in America that prefers what Illinois does and I have so many questions.

I was told that if it cooked in the bird - its stuffing. Otherwise, it's dressing. Whatever you call it, it was never homemade at my house. Ma always opened the box of Stove Top, and we called it stuffing even though it wasn't cooked in the bird, because that's what it said on the box...
