The Quincy Gems are wrapping up their 2018 season Thursday at QU Stadium and they’re saying thank you to their fans with a bunch of food and drink specials.
There will be no post-season berths at stake, but the Hannibal Cavemen and Quincy Gems will square off at QU Stadium to close out the 2015 Prospect League season Thursday, playing for pride and continuing the "Battle for the Paddle."
The City of Quincy has made arrangements for four household waste collection sites around the city for private citizens of the city to use during this storm damage crisis through Friday, July 17. This will allow Quincy citizens to dispose of house waste and food waste only, absolutely NO YARD WASTE, trees or debris.
The Hannibal Cavemen and Quincy Gems hooked up in an old-fashioned pitcher’s duel Friday night, and it was the Gems that held on for a 1-0 win at QU Stadium.
The Quincy Gems have become famous for good times at the ballpark, good baseball and really good fireworks shows after some games. The reigning Prospect League champions have three fireworks nights on the schedule this season.
