Illinois has become infamous for the number of people who are choosing to leave the Land of Lincoln. But, did you know that Illinois is also seeing an influx of people choosing to call it home from an unexpected place. Why the heck is Illinois being invaded by so many bums people from New Jersey anyway?

My girlfriend and I took a road trip recently to add to our "state list". Well, let me rephrase that. It was to add to her state list. I had already visited all of the states we drove through except one.

The Smithsonian Magazine just posted the "Best Small Towns in America" list and they ripped us off.  Before I rant, here are some of the towns that Fox News reported are on the Smithsonian list along with Great Barrington, Massachusetts and Taos, New Mexico:
