MoDOT and its contractor would like to invite area residents to learn more about the upcoming resurfacing and shoulder improvements on MO 79 from Route T in Hannibal to Route E near Saverton. The open-house-style informational meeting will be held on Tuesday, June 25 from 4:30 to 7 p.m. at the A. D. Stowell Elementary School located at 500 Union Street in Hannibal.

MoDOT crews will open US 61 at Alexandria in Clark County at approximately 11:00 a.m. today after it has been closed for almost two weeks due to flooding.  Crews have cleaned up the area and repaired the damage to the shoulders and road.

Water has receded from U.S. 54 on the Illinois side of the Mississippi River at the Champ Clark Bridge, and IDOT and MoDOT crews opened the road to traffic just a few minutes ago.  The bridge was closed last week due to flooding from the Mississippi River.

This evening, Friday, May 31 at 7 p.m., IDOT and MoDOT crews will close the Champ Clark Bridge on US 54 over the Mississippi River at Louisiana in Pike County due to flooding in Illinois.

Friday, May 31 at approximately 9:30 a.m. Route E in Ralls County from MO 79 east to Lock and Dam 22 at Saverton closed to traffic due to water over road.

(Quincy, Ill)—Officials at MoDot confirm the Quincy Memorial Bridge reopened  to eastbound traffic this afternoon.

Highway 79 just south of Hannibal became another victim of the 2013 flood.

Friday, April 19 at 1:00 P.M., MoDOT crews closed MO 79 south of Hannibal due to water over the road. The road is closed just south of the entrances to Sawyers Creek and Mark Twain Cave.

HANNIBAL - Friday, April 19, the following routes are closed in NE Missouri, along with those routes which recently opened to traffic.

Monday, April 22 through Thursday, April 25, 2013, MoDOT will be working on the Champ Clark Bridge over the Mississippi River at Louisiana, Missouri. Crews will be working from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Traffic will be reduced to one lane with flagmen controlling traffic through the work zone area.
