It's fun to cook outdoors whenever possible. Here are a few unique items we bet you've never even considered trying to cook on the grill!

Don't get me wrong, I love BBQ. I eat it a lot.  Even so, I'm not sure I'm sold on the idea of making BBQ the "National Dish of America."

I dine frequently at Riverside Smoke House, whether with family or co-workers. Most of the time I dine there I am in a white shirt.

Not that I need an excuse to grill (or to eat), but soon Memorial Day will be here. I am not sure if I will host a barbecue at my house this Memorial Day weekend. I won't know that until the middle of May. If I don't host, I will at least help with the planning and execution of a barbecue at my in-laws.

The 3rd Annual Smokin' on the Lake KCBS BBQ Competition is May 17 & 18 at Mark Twain Landing Resort.

It's officially happened. Every single food imaginable can now be cooked on the grill. Have you ever heard of smoked eggs?

Everybody eats. Some of us eat a lot. Too many of us, probably. That might help explain the popularity of food events. Whether it's a chili cook-off, barbecue festival, chicken wing competition or burger blast, there's a good chance that if food is involved, a crowd will follow.
