We're all anxious (or perhaps more accurately, desperate) for spring. Who ever would have thought that the week before Easter we'd have snow on the ground? As nice as it will be to finally get more seasonable weather, so that we can boat, golf, garden or do any of the other billion spring-time activities, there are a few drawbacks to warmer temperatures. The two that instantly come to mind are spiders and snakes.

I'm not a big fan of snakes. Never have been. In fact, they sort of terrify me (especially those little ones that can crawl in your shoe, or fall off a tree and go down your shirt). There are some people that are as equally terrified of spiders as I am of snakes. I've never understood what the big deal is about spiders, and the spider-phobia people feel the same way about us snake cowards.

The reality is that both are relatively harmless in almost all instances, but these two creatures just might be the most-feared relatively harmless things in all the world. Which do you think is worse?
