The arctic chill that has gripped northeast Missouri and western Illinois in the past week will start to slowly move on later this week.

National Weather Service forecasters are calling for highs Monday of only 20 degrees, and a low in the high single digits Monday night.

The bounceback actually begins Tuesday, with a high expected to hit 27. The rest of the work week will see highs in the mid 30s, with a high of 45 expected Saturday and 50 a possibility Sunday.

Lows will drop to the upper teens to around 20 Tuesday through Thursday, rebounding to 25 Friday night and 37 Saturday night.

After scattered flurries Monday, there is a good chance of rain Saturday night and Sunday.
