Shottenkirk Chevrolet & Shottenkirk Kia of Quincy has announced that the Bikes for Tikes Campaign will return for its 3rd year this December. In the course of the first two years, over 350 bicycles were repaired and recycled, and then distributed to area families in need through the Salvation Army’s Toy Town campaign.

This was made possible by the generous donations of the people of Quincy and the surrounding communities. The employees of Shottenkirk Chevrolet & Shottenkirk Kia of Quincy are donating the hundreds of man-hours needed to collect, clean and repair the bicycles donated to the Bikes for Tikes campaign.

Collection efforts will begin immediately. Any new and used bikes or monetary donations can be dropped off at Shottenkirk Chevrolet on 24th & Locust, and Shottenkirk Kia of Quincy, just south on 24th Street.

For anyone wishing to donate bicycles to the campaign without a way to get them to the dealership, a free pick up service is available. Arrangements can be made by calling Shottenkirk Chevrolet at 217-228-6500, or Shottenkirk Kia at 217-224-1000.

The last day for collections will be Saturday December 13.
