Typical springtime weather patterns appear to be in place for northeast Missouri and western Illinois through the first of next week.

After several beautiful days in the area, there were scattered thunderstorms early Wednesday morning.

The best chance of showers and thunderstorms is Thursday and Thursday night, with severe weather a possibility.

The chance of stormy weather continues into Friday. Then, after a break Friday night and Saturday, forecasters are calling for a chance of showers and thunderstorms Saturday night through Monday night.

Temperatures will remain springlike, as well. After highs near 90 Wednesday and in around 83 Thursday, the area should see highs in the mid 70s, with lows in the 50s through the first part of next week.
