The Salvation Army will again this year, distribute electric fans to those in need. The program will begin on June 3 and fans will be distributed as they are available in both Quincy and Hannibal.

Anyone applying for a fan needs to bring a photo ID with them to their local Family Services Center. For people with children under 5 years of age, a social security card or medical card is also required. In Quincy the Family Services Center is located at 501 Broadway. In Hannibal  it's located at 302 Broadway. Both locations are open Monday through Thursday from 1 to 4pm.

Fan distribution will be prioritized for people over the age of 65, those with children under 5 and those who are disabled. People who received fans from last years program will not be eligible to receive one this year until after June 24.

Donations of new and lightly used fans are currently needed and will be throughout the summer. Fans can be dropped off at either Family Services Center in Quincy or Hannibal, or at the Kroc Center in Quincy.

Monetary donations for fans can be sent to The Salvation Army, P.O. Box 75, Quincy, IL. 62306. Please designate donations as "Fan Program-Hannibal" or Fan Program-Quincy.
