Over the past five weeks, chefs from around the country have been competing on the ABC television program 'The Chew' to become the next Weight Watcher's Chef. Chicago chef - and Quincy native - Ryan Hutmacher won the top honor during the February 19 broadcast.

As the winner of the competition, Ryan has earned a $75,000 grand prize, and a one-year consulting contract with Weight Watchers as the Weight Watchers Chef. The runner-up in the contest was Lisa Fontanesi, a family cooking expert from Los Angeles.

Ryan is  the co-founder of Centered Chef in Chicago, “ a unique culinary studio focused on integrating clean eating experiences into social and educational platforms.”

After graduating from culinary school, Hutmacher apprenticed at several restaurants in France, and developed a passion for natural, regional ingredients, which he incorporates into his work.
