Y101KHQA and Peters Heating and Air have partnered to support the new Pink Van Project, benefiting Blessing Cancer Center. The ribbon was cut on the van, which you'll be seeing driving around the area, during a Thursday morning ceremony at Peters.

One of the service vans from Peters' fleet has been completely designed in pink to create awareness about breast cancer, and encourage education and support. A portion of the proceeds earned by the Pink Van will be donated to the Blessing Cancer Center in Quincy.

"We are very pleased to use on of our service vehicles to draw attention to this worth cause," said Dominic Peters. "Whenever someone sees our pink van, we hope they'll be reminded about the serious issue of breast cancer."

Quincy Mayor Kyle Moore attended Thursday's ribbon-cutting ceremony, and commended the Pink Van effort. "What a great statement this says about our community, when you have a company like Peters partnering up with Blessing to raise money for a good cause. Thank you for all who made this happen, and certainly if you have a call, ask for the Pink Van and lets' make sure we're raising money for a good cause."
