The new downtown joint, “Joker’s Lounge” has been popping up on my Facebook for the past few days, and honestly, I can’t wait to check it out.

Located at 614 Maine Street, Joker’s Lounge is having a soft opening Saturday (November 11) and will be up and running from 4:00 pm until 1:00 am. With a few signature drinks (including something called “Joker’s Juice” and “Freak A Leak”) and a bunch of classic and modern board and card games, this place looks to be a totally cool place to hang out.

I’ve seen Giant Jenga and other party games pop up at a few bars around town including One Special Event Venue and Spare Time Bar & Grill as well as other popular hangouts including Behind Closed Doors (and again, we really are sorry about your wall). But this is the first place in Quincy that I know of that is making board and party games into their whole schtick. And it looks awesome!

Owner Angie Kindhart mentions in a recent Facebook post that a back gaming room as well as a marquis and wall décor are coming soon. Kindhard has also tossed around the idea of open mic nights and karaoke events, so stay tuned!
