The Salvation Army will serve a free Thanksgiving dinner on Thanksgiving Day.

People can join them on Thursday, November 28th from 11:30am – 1:00pm at The Salvation Army Kroc Center located at 405 Vermont Street. The community is invited to enjoy a traditional Thanksgiving dinner complete with turkey and all the trimmings. Music will be provided by The Salvation Army Praise Band.

All volunteer help is appreciated, but it is important to call the Kroc Center at (217) 231-5633 to schedule your time this day, so that all, who want to help, have an opportunity.

Salad dishes and desserts are needed for the dinner. Please bring dishes for the meal in disposable containers. Everyone wishing to donate a salad or dessert for the Thanksgiving dinner is asked to bring them to the Kroc Center between 9:00am and 11:30am on Thanksgiving morning.

For those needing a ride, transportation will be provided to the Kroc Center. Meals will also be delivered to shut-ins.
