Have any old junk laying around the house or sitting in storage and want to know if it's worth anything? Dig it out and bring it to the Quincy Public Library on Wednesday, August 23rd.

Antique appraisal expert Mark Moran, a mainstay on PBS' Antiques Roadshow, has written over two dozen books on antiques in his over 30 year career in the antiques and appraisal industry. This is a guy who really knows valuable (or worthless) old items, and can tell you if you're sitting on a treasure or just a useless old trinket. Moran will be at the library on August 23rd from 10am to 3pm taking a look at your items.

If you have a valid QPL cards, you're able to bring one item in for a free appraisal, and pre-registration is required. One paid item will be allowed for non-library card holders for $15. Call Ruth Cuthberston at 217-223-1309 to make a reservation.

If you just want to come in and hear some great history about possible old and forgotten items, it's free to sit in the audience. You may hear a fun story tied to an item, like the story Katie Kraushaar, Manager of Information Services at the library told today on the Morning Drive-In. Listen below! Head to the library's website for more information.
