If you've ever been to a show at the Quincy Community Theatre, I bet you've wondered about the madness that goes on back stage. If you've ever been involved in a show at the Quincy Community Theatre, or ever done theatre for that matter, you know exactly the type of madness that goes on back stage. In preparation for the show, costumes, set pieces, and props are getting pulled and reshelved (for lack of a better term). There's general wear and tear on fixtures throughout the building. It just becomes a big mess that needs sprucing up.

That's why the QCT hosts their annual Big Clean volunteer event! They're inviting the public to come out to the QCT this Saturday the 18th from 9am-noon and help clean up the theatre. They'll be focusing on the five main areas of the QCT, costumes, props, scene shop, rehearsal hall and the main stage. They need help with everything from scrubbing fixtures, to organizing props, even painting, so they suggest  you wear clothes you don't mind getting grubby.

If you're looking for volunteer hours for a service organization, or to get punch card hours toward a free QCT show ticket, this is the perfect opportunity. At the end of all your hard work, they'll have a celebratory cookout for all the volunteers. For more information, or to sign up, visit their website, follow them on Facebook, or call the QCT box office at 222-3209.
