Have you ever been to Quincy Community Theatre? It's really a tremendous amount of fun. A couple years ago we took my niece, then 5, for her first show. She was hooked, and our family has enjoyed attending several shows since then. If you've never been, there are some productions coming up that you may want to check out.

October 12 - 13 is a tribute to the golden age of radio, and a Halloween-time treat, with 'Dracula: a Radio Play.' Two sound effects operators will be on stage creating sound effects live during the performance. Tickets are $12 for adults, and $10 for kids.

'Ramona Quimby' will be a family-friendly, student theatre production showing October 25 - 28. Described as a "collection of vignettes that trace Ramona’s tumultuous passage through third grade and through her family relationships," tickets for 'Ramona Quimby' will be $9,  and go on sale October 9.

The 2012 season will conclude with 'Tea for Three' November 2 - 3, 'The Santaland Diaries' December 14 - 15, and 'Insepcting Carol' November 29 - 30, December 1 - 2, and December 6 - 9.

If your family is like mine, you're probably always on the lookout for something fun to do. If you've never been to a Quincy Community Theatre production, we highly recommend giving it a try.
