Northeast Missouri is well represented in the state high school football quarterfinals this weekend.

The Hannibal Pirates, fresh off their district championship win over Mexico, continue their post season homestand Saturday as the 11-1 Kearney Bulldogs invade Porter Stadium to face the undefeated Pirates. You can hear that game with Bill Shuler and Terry Ahearn on KHMO, khmoradio.com and Radio Pup with a 1:10 p.m. pregame and a 1:30 p.m. kickoff.

The Palmyra Panthers hit the road Saturday, traveling to Lutheran North to face the Crusaders in a rematch of last year's quarterfinal matchup. You will recall Palmyra won that game 14-7 in a classic battle in Palmyra. Game time Saturday in St. Louis is 1 p.m. Harold Smith will have the call of that game on Y101, Y101radio.com and Radio Pup beginning with the pregame at 12:40 p.m.

Other area teams still in the hunt are South Shelby in Class 1, Brookfield in Class 2 and Centralia in Class 3.

Also on the broadcast schedule Saturday in Missouri's non-conference game with Brigham Young at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City. Pregame on KHMO is 4:30 p.m., with a 6:30 kick off.

The Kansas City Chiefs are back in action, coming off their bye week by taking on the Broncos in Denver. The pregame starts at 2 p.m., with a 3:25 p.m. kickoff on 97.9 KICK-FM.
