Pelicans Have Invaded Quincy
Have you seen the riverfront lately? It seems we have been invaded by pelicans.
I have lived in this area for 14-years, and I do not recall ever seeing any pelicans, much less such an invasion. According to Natural Heritage Biologist Dean Corgiat in the Pittsfield office of the Illinois Department of Natural Resources, the migration of pelicans to the Quincy riverfront is an annual occurrence.
