Okay, I sometimes think that practical jokes are funny, but not this one, if that's what they were attempting to do. Perhaps you heard our coverage of the "suspicious package," located in Perry, Missouri.

First, let me say, that I think Perry is a great town, full of friendly folks. It really torques me off, when I read about situations like the one yesterday. There always have to be a few folks with nothing better to do, than to think up dumb stuff like this prank

I'm not certain, if the jugs in question, were left as a prank or not, but if that was the intended purpose, it's not funny. What did this cause? Fear, concern, loss of money from local businesses and taking away of our resources.

If you know anything about me, you know that I have huge respect for Law Enforcement. From what I've read, this so-called device brought out officers from the state, county and local levels, including the Missouri State Highway Patrol's Bomb Squad as well as Fire and EMS.  These are folks who put their lives on the line everyday.

Stupid events like this, take them away from their normal duties -  perhaps delaying them in their response to those with a "real" emergency, not to mention costing all of us more dollars.

Most people have good hearts, and good intentions.  You and I both know this. It just ticks me off, when we put our people and resources at risk over pointless events like this, just for "attention."
