Even with the high temps, officials say over 1700 participants took to the streets of downtown Hannibal early Saturday during the Hannibal Cannibal 10K run, 5K run walk and kids fun run. Attendance at the Frog Jump competition trended down this year, although some frogs seemed more lively in the hot temps, (maybe some were trying to avoid becoming premature fried frog legs)…while in the National Fence Painting competition, a 12 year-old from Hannibal takes top honors Saturday evening in hard-fought competition. NTSD winds up today with mud volley getting underway at Hill and Front Streets at 7 am, and a horseshoe tourney begins at 11 a.m. in Ringer Park on South Main Street at Warren Barrett Drive.
