The 'Music With a Mission' concert starring Colt Ford and Trailer Choir on April 19 was a huge fundraising success.

The show at the Adams County fairgrounds was the first 'Music With a Mission' concert in what is planned to be a series of fundraising shows aimed at benefiting small school districts around the country. As headliner Colt Ford said in an interview with KICK-FM before the show, "big schools in big cities have a lot of opportunity already, but the small schools often need some help."

With that in mind, Vinny Hickerson of the country band Trailer Choir spearheaded efforts to get the concert series started and plans to have many more going forward.

This first show of it's kind was held as a benefit for the Mendon School District and the final tally of money raised was roughly $10,000. Congratulations on a job very well done by everyone involved!

Organizers plan to hold another benefit show here in the tri-state area in 2015.
