The 2nd annual Mighty Mudder Dash-N-Bash is taking place in Hannibal on September 12.

The Hannibal Jaycees, the Hannibal POPS Club and Mark Twain Distributing are partnering with White Oak Counseling and Access to Healing and Wellness/Partners 4 Kids in Care, for the event, Hannibal's own mud and color run.

Proceeds benefit children and youth in our community who are in need, with a focus on those in foster care, and Christmas gifts for needy families. The event will be held at the POPS Club on Highway 61 South, between Hannibal and New London.

The event starts at 9:00 a.m. with a "kiddos flight," followed by the competitive and fun flights. The Mighty Mudder offers something for everyone. The course is designed to be enjoyed by both the mud run enthusiast and the first time mud runner. Returning participants can look forward to an even greater variety of fun and challenging obstacles this year, while the fun flight will again feature more color fun and an option to skip the obstacles with no push-ups.

Afterwards participants and spectators are invited to stay and celebrate into the evening with food, live music and beverages at the after-party bash. The bands Freight, Part-Time Gypsies, 7 Days Fuller and NOWAKE will play until 9:00 p.m. A cornhole tournament also has been added to this year's daytime activities.

Entry is open individuals, teams or organizations. Registration is $65 per individual/team and $15 per child 12 and younger. Register online and check out photos, information and updates on Facebook.
