The biggest single fund raising event of the 2015-16 campaign of the United Way of the Mark Twain Area comes Saturday, October 31.

The United Way Radio Auction comes once again to KHMO, as listeners are invited to bid from 8 a.m. until noon on a whole host of merchandise from a wide variety of businesses and individuals.

The marquee items up for bid every year is cases of Progresso Soup, with some 400 cases for sale in this year's auction. This comes from perennial United Way fundraising partner General Mills.

The proceeds from the radio auction goes toward the United Way's $565,000 goal for this year's campaign.

Two of the volunteers who are on-air mainstays for the auction are retired KHMO General Manager Ed Foxall and Hannibal Mayor Roy Hark. They were guests on KHMO's Talk Back:
