The month of May is going to be a big one for one of the area's favorite bands. Madd Hoss Jackson will be spending time at Treasure Isle Studios in Music City, USA to record their second album. The studio is famous for currently boasting clients like Jason Aldean, Lady Antebellum and Alabama.

The band goes in with plans to record a 6 song, EP with the chance that it will expand into a full 10 song CD. They hope to release the album by mid to late summer of this year.

Once the new project is complete, studio owner Fred Vail will be shopping it to several record labels in an effort to reach a deal for national distribution.

Madd Hoss Jackson is based out of Mt. Sterling, Illinois. They are currently touring Illinois, Missouri, Iowa, Wisconsin and Indiana. The band will also be opening for veteran country star Tracy Lawrence at the Adams County Fairgrounds outside Mendon Illinois on Saturday, June 22. The show is a fundraiser for the Quincy Firefighters Local 63. They will take the stage at 6 p.m. that night.
