Luke Bryan gave his biggest fans a preview of his new album at his 2015 CMA Fest fan club party when he debuted "Fast," a new tune that he reportedly said will be released as a single.

The Georgia native shook things up with this one by slowing it way down and veering away from the tailgates and cold beer subject matter that is present in much of his music, including his current single, "Kick the Dust Up." This song goes beyond country cliches to deliver a strong message with its chorus: "60 seconds now feels more like 30 / Tick tock, won't stop, around it goes / Sand through the glass sure falls in a hurry, all you keep trying to do is slow it down / So you give, trying to make the good times last as long as you can, but you can't / Man it just goes too fast. "

"Fast" shines a light on the all-too-true life lesson that time flies, and there's nothing we can do about it. The acoustic melody takes you through a journey of trying to grow up too soon in the first verse, followed by the tale of falling in love at a young age, and despite parents speculating that it's going way too fast, it lasts anyway.

The smooth bridge will give you goosebumps and have you reminiscing about the first time you fell in love:  "Looking at you looking out the window right now /  Those eyes, that dress, that smile, that laugh /  If I could hit pause I would somehow, but it don't work like that."

This softer side of the 39-year-old gives us all just one more reason to love him, his perfect smile and all.

Bryan is slated to release his upcoming album, Kill the Lights, on Aug. 7.
