Donuts are delicious. There aren't many people in the world that don't like them. Most of us eat too many of them. One local business is celebrating a unique accomplishment.  Daybreak Donuts & Diner in Louisiana is celebrating its one millionth donut!

The distinguished pastry was produced on Wednesday night. Daybreak owner Shaun Ross estimates that it took approximately 100,000 pounds of flour, about 1/3 of that amount of sugar, and around six-and-a-half years to reach the one million donut mark. Daybreak opened on July 4, 2006.

Ross says that the one millionth donut was delivered to a friend, Kevin Tarpein, who has been in the hospital.
