Being a life guard is a fantastic opportunity for the aquatically inclined youth, be it guarding at the local pool, a stretch of beach at a river or lake, or perhaps even keeping watch over an entire bay. It's a way to help people and to make some extra cash during the summer. So for all the kids who are at least 15 or about to turn 15, don't stand in the darkness, afraid to step into the light. Because the Kroc Center has a great opportunity to take some Lifeguard Certification courses. You'll learn CPR, First Aid, rescue techniques and more. There is a pre-requisite swim test, and the classes run five hours a night for three nights next week. Space is limited, so make sure you register now.
