The Northeast Missouri Old Threshers is this weekend, and country music's Jason Michael Carrol is the scheduled entertainment on Saturday night.

I know that I grew up in this area, and that I should probably know this, but I've never been able to figure out the correct pronunciation of  "old threshers?" Is it old "thresh-ers," or old "thrash-ers?" It's spelled with an E, but I've heard it pronounced both ways. Is this one of those things like "Missour-ee" and "Missour-ah?"

However it's pronounced, the Jason Michael Carrol show will be at the Shelby County Fairgrounds. The opening act will take the stage at 7, and Jason will perform at 8. Tickets are $10 at the gate.

Jason first made it on the country music charts in 2006, with his tearjerker debut, 'Alyssa Lies.'

Other hits from Jason Michael Carroll include 'Livin' Our Love Song', and 'Meet Me in the Barn'.
