As a parent, I always strive to not say bad words. For the most part, I'm a model citizen when it comes to not throwing down language that would make a sailor blush. Problem is I still get mad just like you do and it definitely helps when you can "vent" a bit when that happens. The solution I've come up has been genius for me. I now have incorporated words from the Scooby Doo cartoon into my vocabulary.  I can't tell you how liberating it can be to yell "ZOINKS!" when I accidentally hit my finger with a hammer.

If you would like to try this for yourself, there's even a Yahoo answers page where you can find some common Scooby Doo phrases.

And, of course, you can always count on somebody on YouTube uploading some Scooby Doo episodes so you can stay current with your Scooby Doo lingo.

My new technique of using Scooby Doo words instead of cursing works great when I'm around my kids.  So, if you're one of their teachers and you hear them yell "JEEPERS!", you'll have me to thank.
