Yeah I know, you're over all of the "end of the year" lists, but I promise you this is one list that you're going to want to see.

Google has come out with the list of most asked "Why Do __" questions in each state and topping the charts here in the Land of Lincoln is one downright weird one. The people of Illinois have spoken and our most asked "Why Do" question is (drum roll please)....Why Do Dogs Have Tails?

Yup, that's what the people of Illinois wanted to know in 2017. In a year that left so much unanswered, this was the burning question of the year. I am always asked why my pug's tail is curled, but I don't think I've ever been asked why it's there in the first place...yet.

Missouri's question of the year was "Why Do Tomatoes Split?" And Iowa residents are wondering "Why Do Cat's Knead?" There were several animal questions throughout the USA this year. Apparently New Yorkers are asking why feet smell (another valid question). All in all four questions were miscellaneous, eighteen were about the human body, twenty-one were about animals, and seven were about nature.
