I fully realize that baseball is really just a silly little game where grown men run around with wooden bats, swinging at cowhide balls while running around and stepping on four square bags. Yet, this child's game is completely occupying my mind today. Doesn't matter what I do or where I go, all I can think about is today's Cardinal game.

Here's how pathetic my situation is. When I was showering and getting ready for work, all I could think about is the fact that Fredbird (the Cardinal mascot for you uninitiated) does the same thing.

Sad, huh?  Yep.  Then, as I was getting my lunch together in my fancy Walmart sack (yes, I spare no expense when it comes to "lunch boxes"), I dropped my Monster drink and was reminded of how the Cardinals reached the playoffs thanks to my namesake "dropping" that ball in left field against the Braves a couple weeks ago...

It doesn't stop there.  Get this.  I'm driving down Broadway...doing my Boy Scout best to stay under the super strict 30 mph speed limit...and I look down at my speedometer....and I'm going 23 mph.  23 mph!  Yes, that's right....David Freese is number 23!!!  And we all know what he's famous for...

So, forgive me if I'm more than a bit distracted today.  It's game 3 of the Cardinals NLCS series vs the Giants today and that's pretty much all I have on my mind.
