I am now a Property Brother...sort of. If you watch the HGTV show and/or look at the picture above, then you know that as appearances go I couldn't be farther from being a Property Brother if I was abandoned on an island in the south Pacific. Let me explain what I'm talking about.

I have a lot of passions in my life:  my wife and kids, radio, baseball, my faith...and Evel Knievel just to name a few.  One thing I've also been interested in is real estate.  I've never owned much of it, but I still think the process where someone finds a perfect home to fit their family needs and wants is fascinating.

That's why I made up my mind earlier this year that I wanted to get my real estate license.  And I know this will shock all the teachers in the Hannibal Public School system that tried to teach me when I was growing up, but I actually did pass my state real estate exam test last week.

This doesn't mean that my radio show is suddenly going to be me saying "That's the new song from Jason Aldean...now, can I interest you in a nice two-story bungalow?"  Radio is still radio and my real estate work will be it's own world.  But, it is an exciting new adventure that I can't wait to begin.

At the end of the day, you've got to devote yourself to something that you have passion about.  Otherwise, you're just doing a job.  And, if there's anything my boss can attest to, it's the fact that I'm not very good at doing a job :)
