Horse Racing at Brown County Fair

KICK-FM will be at the Brown County Fair tonight for our annual broadcast.

The Brown County Fair has the distinction of featuring Illinois' Fastest County Fair Track and the only fair that hosts Pari-mutuel wagering.

Last year after my broadcast, I decided to bet on a couple of horses.I listened to the race on my way home, and, to my surprise, one of my horses won.

Afterwards I spent a week trying to cash in my winning ticket. Nothing. No one was able to tell me how to collect my winnings without being in front of a betting window.

So tonight, after my broadcast on KICK-FM, I will take my winning ticket and finally cash it in. I don't even remember how much I won. Maybe I'll use the winnings to get a Lemon Shake-up. Or I could bet on another horse...
