A Hannibal woman faces charges following her involvement in an officer involved shooting incident in Monroe City.

The Missouri Highway Patrol says 34 year old June Smith of Hannibal was arrested Thursday on a Monroe County warrant for felony hindering prosecution. Authorities say that during the officer involved shooting incident… Smith was in the company of Timothy Brokes who was wanted for questioning for a homicide and felony assault in Marion County on January 12th. As a Monroe City police officer attempted to contact Brokes and Smith… gunfire was exchanged between Brokes and the officer. Both sustained non-life threatening injuries. Smith is held in the Marion County Jail on 50-thousand dollars bond. The officer involved shooting is under investigation by the Highway Patrol’s Division of Drug and Crime Control. Timothy Brokes is also in custody in Marion County on multiple charges. His bond is 100-thousand dollars cash only.
