Have you ever celebrated May Day?

May Day is the halfway point of Spring, heading into the Summer months, and is still celebrated in many European countries.

As a kid, I remember participating in some May Day festivities at school. I'm pretty certain that it's not acknowledged in schools today.  We used to decorate a Maypole, and then later on, put together baskets of plants and flowers that after when we got home, we were supposed to leave on a neighbors porch or at their front door, knock or ring the doorbell and then run away before they saw you.  It was suppose to be a goodwill gesture, and seemed like a lot of fun at the time.

Not certain if you ever celebrated May Day, but it sure brought back some fun childhood memories.
