I grew up with a long standing fascination of space. Obviously as a kid, it was initially with Star Trek and Star Wars. But my parents fostered that interest by teaching me about the guys who actually went to space. John Glenn was long a hero of mine, and I was really excited in middle school when he went back into space and they basically stopped school for us to watch as he became the oldest man to go into the final frontier. For being the first American to orbit space, and the fifth human to ever escape earth, I salute you, Mr. Glenn. Thank you for all the hope you inspired in me and indeed us all over the years. Thanks for space.
