The Hannibal Police Department is making preparations for their annual Halloween Party for the children of Hannibal, which has been going on for over 30 years! The Police Department always does a great job of putting together a terrific event, which is free for children to attend, but to make it happen, they need the community's support.

"It is our goal to provide a fun and safe environment for the children of the community.  The party provides a place for children to go without having to travel the streets of our city to get candy and prizes," said Cpl. Jonathan Borgmeyer in a fundraising letter. "The party is targeted for children ages birth to 12 years of age and their parents."

The Hannibal Police Department's annual Halloween Party provides candy, hot dogs and soda for children, all for free, in addition to games and prizes. There is also a costume contest and haunted tent. The Halloween Party if funded entirely by community donations and community volunteers help set up, tear down, and work the party.

To make a monetary donation, please make out a check to "City of Hannibal" with the notation "Halloween Party." Donations may be mailed in or dropped off at the Police Department on Broadway.
