The Hannibal Jaycees, along with Midwest Music Mayhem, will hold the 3rd annual Epic Music Showcase at Tanyard Gardens on Saturday, June 6.

Admission is only $6 and gets you in to see performances by five local artists including Seven Days Fuller, Liz Bentley, Blacktop South, NOWAKE and The Pumped Up Kicks. Gates open at 5:00 p.m. and the show starts at 6:00 p.m. The sjow is open to all ages, with those 21 and over receiving wristbands to purchase adult beverages. Papa John’s will be selling pizza and soda.

Midwest Music Mayhem is a Facebook page dedicated to local music and asks their followers each December to vote for their favorite act out of all local bands and solo artists. Their partnership with the Jaycees has given the top five vote getters the opportunity to perform onstage in one show.

The Hannibal Jaycees are also offering a special membership incentive available only during the Showcase. The first five new members to join will each receive $20 off their first-year dues. Dues must be paid at the event. For more details, contact any Hannibal Jaycee.

The Hannibal Jaycees were formed in 1948, and they remain as committed to area youth today as they were over 60 years ago. Over the years, the Hannibal Jaycees have donated thousands of dollars back into the Hannibal community with contributions to the Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, American Red Cross, Hannibal Nutrition Center, Avenues, NEMO Humane Society, youth sports, Muscular Dystrophy Association, Make-A-Wish Foundation, Special Olympics, Glad Tidings/Adopt-A-Family program and many other local charities. As their creed so accurately states, the Jaycees firmly believe “that service to humanity is the best work of life.” For membership information, contact 1st Vice President Jenny Pabst at 573-795-6577, email jenny_pabst@yahoo.com or visit their website.
