Back for its third year is the fun filled Germanfest, hosted by the Quincy Sister City Commission. The past two years have been fun, but entirely contained to just the first Saturday in June. But Quincyans don't do small. We like our celebrations big and generally lasting for several days, which is why we'll now be able to celebrate our sister city of Hereford, Germany on Friday AND Saturday, June 2nd & 3rd.

4205 Main Street Brewing Company of Belleville, run by Quincy native Adam Patterson, returns with a specialty Quincy Dogwood brew. Now, if you remember last year, they unfortunately ran out way too soon. Worry not, fellow Germanfest attendee. Patterson has said that he will bring more beer this time around, and hopefully they don't run out this time. To which I say... "Challenge accepted"

In addition to the beer, Butcher's Block will be on hand with the absolute wurst food in town. GET IT?! WURST foods. Because... yeah you get it. But seriously, you'll be able to try many different types of German dishes.

Friday features beer, food and music from Raised on the Radio, all starting at 6pm. Saturday's festivities kick off earlier with some more family friendly events at 3pm, as well as the food, beer and music from the Heidelberg German Band.

Can't wait to see you out at South Park in June
