George Strait lit up the stage at the 2014 ACM Awards during his phenomenal performance of 'I Got a Car,' showing us all, once again, why he's one of the very best.

After a glowing introduction from fellow country icon, Martina McBride -- who mentioned that he's the only artist in the history of country music to have a Top 10 hit every year for the past 30 years -- Strait took to the stage with his signature signature black cowboy hat and a beautiful red guitar strap.

It wasn't an elaborate set, but Strait's impeccable voice didn't need it. With a simple on-screen highway montage and backed by his band, the Entertainer of the Year nominee didn't need much showmanship to prove his skill.

While stars including Carrie Underwood and Darius Rucker looked on in awe, Strait sang from his 2013 album, 'Love is Everything' ending the performance with a much-deserved standing ovation.
