Child hunger is an issue that must be addressed.

This simply isn't an option. Sadly, there are children in the U.S. that go without getting nutritious meals, once the school session has closed for summer vacation.

The Hannibal School District is doing something to help with this problem.  From June 4th through June 29th, the District is offering the Summer Food Service Program, to help kids receive nutritious meals.

Free breakfasts and lunches will be served Monday through Friday to all school aged children up to 18 years of age.

The locations are Veterans Elementary at 790 Veterans Road, and Hannibal Middle School, at 4700 McMasters Avenue.

Breakfast will be served at Hannibal Middle from 7:15 to 8:15 and lunch from 11 until Noon.

Veterans Elementary will provide breakfast from 7:30 to 8:30 and lunch from 11 until Noon.

For more information, contact the District's administrative office at 573-221-1258.
