One of Quincy’s most popular coffee shops is opening the doors on its new location this weekend.

Electric Fountain Brewing recently moved from its North 6th location to a new site at 503 Maine (next door to Second String Music). They’ll be open for business beginning Saturday morning, March 17 so eager java seekers can get their morning caffeine fix.

“We are ready to electrify your weekend! New shop opens this Saturday @ 503 Maine! Also we will have a mobile spot at our neighbor and good friends at The Wooden Rabbit @ 5:15am for St. Patrick’s Day morning !! Let’s get some locally roasted coffee back in your hands," the company writes on Facebook.

And given their 5th and Maine location, their announcement comes at the absolute perfect time.

Now let’s see, what is going on Saturday that will draw thousands of people and drive plenty of foot traffic straight to 5th and Maine? OH RIGHT! The St. Patrick’s Day parade!

The parade route runs from 12th and Maine all the way down to pretty much the front door of Electric Fountain Brewing. This might just be a coincidence, but then again, if that was their plan all along, then kudos to the folks at EFB. Well played. Either way, we can't wait to check out the new shop! Congrats on the move!
