The Chocolate Extravaganza begins at noon, and goes through 8 p.m. Downtown merchants celebrate chocolate with gifts, services and treats. For $20, chocolate enthusiasts can purchase a "passport" that includes five coupons to be redeemed for your choice of free chocolate inspired gifts from a list of over 20 merchants, in addition to coupons for discounts. To purchase passports, or to find out more, contact Dena Ellis at (573) 221-9010 x 403 or Sheena Rolsen at (573) 248-9800.

As part of the Chocolate Extravaganza activities, the Mark Twain Museum will host a free concert at 5:30 p.m. The U.S. Air Force Band Starlifter will be appearing. Starlifter performs rock, pop. and country, from the oldies to today’s hits. The concert is free and open to the public.

Second Saturday Gallery Night is celebrated every month at the downtown art galleries: Hannibal Alliance Art Gallery, Fresh Ayers, Main Street Wine Stoppe, Gallery 310 and Hannibal Arts Council. The galleries will be celebrating a special chocolate theme in March, in honor of the coinciding Chocolate Extravaganza. Wander from gallery to gallery and enjoy special guest artists, food, friends and extended hours.
